Position Overview
The VP, Finance & Operations will play a critical role in shaping the financial and operational strategy of the organization. This executive will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational efficiency initiatives to drive growth and profitability while ensuring compliance and risk management practices are in place.  

This position will oversee the Finance/Accounting, IT, HR, and Operations teams. We are seeking an impactful leader to manage and coach the team to operate in a high-performance, fast-paced, customer centric environment. Continuous process improvement will be at the forefront of your duties, ensuring efficiency and scalability to drive successful profit, process, human capital management, as well as critical oversight on technology, and systems. 

Executive Leadership & Strategic Decision-Making

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, advising functional leaders on financial planning, budgeting, and economic modeling.
  • Oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities, collaborating with the Owners and Board of Directors to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Lead strategic business transformation, leveraging financial data to drive organizational growth and process improvements.
  • Develop and present financial and business reports, offering insights, trends, and recommendations to optimize operational efficiency.

Finance & Accounting Leadership

  • Manage financial reporting, including cost accounting, variance analysis, departmental budgets, cash flow, and debt management.
  • Oversee general ledger, banking, A/R, A/P, state sales tax, and cash management, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficiency.
  • Direct the financial forecasting and budgeting process, providing key metrics and performance reports to executive leadership.

Human Resources & Organizational Development

  • Lead HR functions, overseeing employee benefits, payroll, compliance, and talent development to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure HR strategies align with financial goals, collaborating with leadership on long-term organizational plans.
  • Establish legal and compliance policies to minimize risks and strengthen workforce management.

Information Technology & Systems Optimization

  • Manage ERP and CRM systems, ensuring seamless implementation, upgrades, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Oversee IT security, automation enhancements, and governance to protect company assets and drive technology efficiency.
  • Implement data-driven controls to detect fraudulent activity, enforce workflows, and enhance operational scalability.

Operations & Supply Chain Management

  • Direct supplier agreements, evaluations, and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring procurement efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Strengthen strategic supplier relationships, optimizing inbound and outbound logistics for real-time tracking and cost control.
  • Negotiate transportation, ocean freight, and small parcel costs, improving overall supply chain effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Performance Optimization

  • Manage Finance, HR, IT, and Operations teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric environment focused on scalability and profit.
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional teams, identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiencies.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with organizational leaders, ensuring alignment of financial and operational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Finance & Operations Leadership - Minimum 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting management, with 10+ years in operations leadership within high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic Financial Expertise - Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management, ensuring sustainable business growth.
  • Operational & Process Optimization - Proven experience in operations management, process improvement methodologies, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge - Solid understanding of finance regulations, compliance requirements, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Executive Leadership & Team Management - Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor direct reports, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • ERP & Financial Systems - Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Change Management & Strategy Execution - Expertise in developing and implementing change initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and measurable outcomes.
  • Communication & Collaboration - Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align financial and operational goals across all business functions.
  • Relocation & Commitment - Willingness to relocate to South Bend, IN, fully committed to the company's long-term vision and strategic objectives.
