Location: Clearwater, FL 33760 (near St. Pete/Clearwater Airport)
Salary: $175,000 - $190,000 + 15% Bonus + FREE Medical Benefits + Relocation

You would need to come onsite 2x a week

Founded in 1983 we are a 100 employee manufacturer & supplier of manpack & fly away satellite terminals designed for the expeditionary user community. We primarily serve the Federal & DoD markets and have been slowly gaining market share in the space beating out most of the tier 1 prime defense contractors. For this Staff Engineer opening we are looking for an individual who will focus on multi-orbit SATCOM systems who can contribute to a growing portfolio of SATCOM designs including parabola antennas, RF components, ESA, modem integration & mechanically steered positioners.

What You Will Be Doing

Collaborate w/ leadership & engineering teams to define & implement strategies for lead identification & source opportunities of interest
Leading critical engineering projects & evaluations through cross-functional due
diligence reviews w/ focus on system requirements
Oversee integration & development w/i engineering department
Oversee & direct R&D initiatives related to next-gen ESA terminals i.e. active/passive phased arrays, beam steering techniques, etc
Develop strategic technology roadmap for ESA terminals identifying key
innovations, trends & product life cycles in satellite communications
Promote & drive innovation in ESA terminals based on RFIC technologies
Ensure seamless integration of ESA panels & RFICs w/ satellite payloads, ground stations & communication networks
Work w/ key customers to identify specific SATCOM needs related to ESA
panels & RFICs and provide custom solutions that align with commercial & military SATCOM objectives

What You Need for this Position

Ability to acquire Secret Level clearance
Master's Degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
15 years of experience in military or commercial SATCOM
Understanding of SATCOM terminal technologies in both parabola & ESA
systems design & development process
Ability to explain scientific, engineering & business topics to executives & customers
Knowledge of scalability, interoperability & sustainability in SATCOM systems
Ability to lead engineering evaluations & cross-functional projects
Experience w/ phased array, beam steering & RFIC technologies
