NOTE: My Client is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This leadership role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in project execution, client engagement, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of construction operations, financial oversight, and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from conceptual estimating and pre-construction planning to final turnover and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work with a focus on cost control and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, subcontractor agreements, and procurement processes to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain alignment and accountability.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, including OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) sessions, and provide clear documentation and reporting.
  • Drive project profitability through proactive change order management, forecasting, and margin analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and sustainability standards throughout all phases of construction.
  • Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong field awareness and technical expertise.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners through exceptional service and integrity.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Timberline, and other related tools.
  • Experience with LEAN construction, BIM coordination, and pull planning is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage high-performing teams and deliver complex projects successfully.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
