Requirements: 5+ years of Heavy Civil Engineering experience. Experience with underground construction, transportation, highway, Caltrans, and earthwork project required.

Position Overview:
The Senior Project Engineer will lead and oversee large-scale heavy civil construction projects with a focus on site development and highway infrastructure. This role is integral to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all phases of heavy civil projects, particularly in underground construction and highway transportation.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports to ensure project milestones are met.
Collaborate with project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, contracts, and change orders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in heavy civil construction.
Proven experience in underground construction and transportation/highway projects.
Strong understanding of CALTRANS requirements and industry standards.
