Job Title: Optical Applications Engineer
Location: Peabody, MA or North Sutton, NH - hybrid 3 days on-site
Compensation: $100K - $150K DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Optical Applications Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in optics and photonics to support the development and application of optical products, providing technical solutions to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement optical system solutions for various applications
Collaborate with product development teams to optimize optical designs
Provide technical support to customers, addressing their inquiries related to optical products
Conduct experiments and measurements to validate optical performance
Utilize knowledge in remote sensing and light measurement to improve product features
Create documentation and reports detailing optical application methodologies and results
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in photonics and optics

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Proven experience in applications engineering or a similar role
Strong knowledge of optics and photonics principles
Experience with remote sensing technologies and applications
Familiarity with LEDs, lasers, and light measurement techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
