Controller

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while also providing strategic financial guidance to support the growth and efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual budget and forecasting.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and identify trends.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the assets of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in financial management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
