Civil Litigation Attorney
Location: Sarasota, FL
Pay: $120K-$175K (negotiable based on experience)


Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of civil litigation cases, providing expert legal counsel and representation to our clients in both state and federal courts. The attorney will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective litigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases in court and during settlement negotiations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information and evidence.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials to advocate for clients' interests.
  • Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Stay updated on changes in civil law and litigation practices.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the FL state bar and a valid license to practice law.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Civil Litigation or 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and rules.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Experience in areas such as insurance defense, commercial litigation, or personal injury is a plus.
