Salary: $70k-100k
Requirements: 1+ years civil estimating/construction experience, strong Microsoft Excel and mathematics background. Familiarity with Civil Construction, estimating, water/wastewater management, roadway construction and site development.

Position Overview:
The Civil Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including water treatment, wastewater treatment, and land development. The role entails analyzing project plans and specifications to provide accurate and competitive bids, ensuring financial feasibility and alignment with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects
Evaluate subcontractor quotes and vendor bids to ensure compliance and competitiveness
Utilize estimating software and tools, such as HCSS, to enhance the accuracy of estimates
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project costs and budget requirements
Conduct site visits to gather data and assess conditions that may impact project costs
Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for future reference
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in civil construction projects
Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and materials
Experience in estimating costs for water treatment and wastewater treatment projects
Familiarity with land development practices and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as HCSS
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
